Welcome to the Ontario SPCA Bruce-Grey Branch website!
Please browse around the website to learn more about our services, and to find out where the closest Ontario SPCA Community adoption centres are located (we do not operate a shelter).
You can also learn about the different ways you can support the Branch’s lifesaving investigative services.
The Bruce-Grey Branch provides emergency animal protection services to the community. We serve a population of over 200,000 people. Our highly trained animal protection team serves 17 municipalities, encompassing a total area of 8,367 km2. Due to the large geographical area, predominately rural, the Branch’s investigators require a significant investment of their time to respond to complaints, and when required, to transport animals to boarding and veterinary facilities.
Our office fields over 5,000 calls per year from the public and other organizations requesting information regarding animal abuse and neglect, wildlife, lost/stray pets and much more.
If you have an immediate life-threatening animal emergency and it is after regular business hours, please call your local police service. This number can be found in the blue pages of your phone book under “Police,” and also on this website under “Resources.”
If you have a stray animal, including a sick or injured animal, please contact your local animal control, or municipal office. These numbers can be found in the blue pages of your phone book under “Animal Services” and “Municipalities,” and also on this web site under “Resources.”
